Michael Viricel

Michael Viricel

Michael Viricel, MSPT, CSCS

Mike grew up in Maine and attended Husson College (now Husson University), where he received a Master of Science in physical therapy in 2001.  Upon getting licensed in Maine, he began working at a hospital in the midcoast area, where he worked on various disciplines, including inpatient rehab, outpatient orthopedic/neurological rehab, and home health therapy.  He moved on to work in a physician-owned outpatient orthopedic clinic specializing in post-surgical rehabilitation, shoulder/knee rehabilitation, and treatment of sports-specific injuries.  Mike eventually became co-director and successfully opened and managed a satellite clinic.  He has since moved to the Portland area and has been with Riverview Physical Therapy since 2011.

Mike utilizes several different treatment philosophies when evaluating and treating his patients. In 2012, Mike received certification in strength and conditioning from National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has attended continuing education courses focusing on manual therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and postural restoration.  Mike’s clinical interests include post-surgical rehabilitation, foot and ankle rehabilitation, and sports injury assessment/rehabilitation.

In his free time, Mike enjoys being outside, going for walks on the beach with his wife and dog, and sampling some of the local breweries Portland has to offer.

“Ted” Edward S. Greeley II, PT, DPT, CSCS
Clinic Director- Portland

Ted grew up locally in Raymond, Maine, and spent most of his young life outdoors camping, skiing, snowmobiling, and water skiing. He was active at Windham High School, playing 3 sports a year and participating in multiple extracurricular clubs. Ted had initially planned to become a mechanical engineer. Still, after interviewing one of his professors at the University of Maine at Orono during his sophomore year, he decided to make a switch to physical therapy.

Ted then ended up at Husson University in Bangor, ME, and earned a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology while playing for their football team. He continued at Husson University to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. After graduating from PT school, Ted moved back to southern Maine.

Ted joined the Riverview Physical Therapy staff in Westbrook in late 2018, where he has enjoyed working with individuals in every stage of life. He regularly participates in continuing education courses, the majority of which have been focused on postural restoration.

Ted continues to participate actively in Crossfit, playing in a men’s ice hockey league, playing disc golf, and doing anything outside with his wife and three kids.
